Monteviejo

 

Part of Clos de los Siete - a French club of millionaires, Monteviejo is the first of seven wineries to be built on the high plains of Valle de Uco.  With Michel Rolland as partner and thousands of hectares of freshly planted vines on what was once desert, Clos de los Siete plan to be major players in the Argentine wine scene.  Investors include Baroness Nadine de Rotschild and aircraft magnate Laurent Dassault.  The wines are typically hedonistic wuth the Clos de los Siete 2002 particularly rich considering the grapes come from 3-year old vines.
