SAN RAFAEL

 

A visit to the wine region of San Rafael - the last oasis in Southern Mendoza (beyond is Patagonia ) begins early departing your Hotel at 8am.

 

At an allitude of between 450 to 800m the most notable Grape varieties (irrigated by the rivers Diamante and Atuel)  is the Chenin Blanc, fragrant and delicate. Others include Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Bonarda and Malbec.   We will visit three Important wineries in the area including; Bianchi , Balbi, Goyenechea , Jean Rivier, Roca or Lavaque .  See San Rafael for more information.
